Bari on Foot

Discover Bari Like a Local – A Sustainable Walking Tour
We encourage visitors to explore Bari on foot, using public transport to reach the city. Our carefully curated self-guided walking tour allows you to uncover hidden gems, authentic local spots, and historical landmarks, while reducing your carbon footprint.

Why Walk in Bari?
🚶‍♂️ Reduce pollution – Lower your environmental impact.
🚘 Ease traffic congestion – Help keep the city’s streets less crowded.
Save time & money – No parking hassles, just seamless exploration.
🌍 Authentic experiences – Discover local favorites, not just tourist hotspots.

Open Rural Platform

Building a Community for Sustainable Tourism

We have launched the Open Rural Platform, an initiative to connect travelers with local businesses, farms, and artisans. This project fosters sustainable tourism, eco-conscious entrepreneurship, and a deeper cultural exchange.

(EU Funded, Coastour Project)

📌 Our Goals

🌱 Sustainable tourism development – Supporting eco-friendly accommodations & activities.

🤝 Local community engagement – Creating a network of small businesses and artisans.

📍 Preserving traditions – Promoting local crafts, organic farming, and cultural heritage.

The Ollas System

Ancient Irrigation for Water Conservation
At Parco Alta Murgia B&B, we have adopted the Ollas System, an ancient and highly efficient method of water conservation in agriculture. This traditional irrigation system allows plants to absorb only the water they need, reducing waste by up to 70%.

How It Works
💧 Porous ceramic pots are buried in the soil and filled with water.
🌱 Slow release irrigation allows plants to absorb moisture naturally.
♻️ Saves up to 70% of water compared to traditional methods.
🐝 Healthier plants & fewer pests due to reduced surface moisture.
